Artista irriverente e dal profilo già ampiamente internazionale, Luce Raggi è un ospite particolarmente significativo dell’appuntamento che il Museo Carlo Zauli dedica ai talenti del proprio territorio. La peculiarità di questo incontro è duplice: è legata, da un lato, alla caratteristica che ha il museo – luogo di residenza per artisti. In questo senso Luce Raggi innesca un processo opposto, poichè espone al museo gli esiti della propria ampia e recente residenza a Jingdezhen, antica e gloriosa capitale cinese della ceramica. L’altra peculiarità, invece, risiede nella natura stessa dell’opera di Luce che, con irriverente e nitida consapevolezza, supera continuamente la linea di confine tra ceramica e arte contemporanea, scardinando le categorie e i generi fissati tra arti applicate ed arti maggiori, tra decorativismo e arte concettuale, tra oggetto ed opera d’arte.

Irreverent artist already recording many international experiences, Luce Raggi is a particularly meaningful artist in the events that Carlo Zauli Museum dedicates to its own territory talents. A duplicity in terms of peculiarity: it is on a side linked to the main characteristic of the museum -Artists in residence-; this acts in an opposite way with Luce Raggi, because she is displaying works born in her wide and recent experience in Jingdezhen, ancient and glorious ceramics Chinese capital. On the other hand, the peculiarity stays in the nature of Luce’s work itself, that with irreverence and awareness continuously oversteps the border line between ceramics and contemporary art, breaking up fixed categories and types between applied arts and major arts, decorativism and conceptual art, the object and the piece of art.
