Quando un artista riesce nel suo intento di realizzare un'opera è un po' come se stesse facendo un regalo al mondo. In un territorio dove le dinamiche di mercato restano dominanti, però, succede spesso che le opere d'arte vadano ad arricchire collezioni private, o magari museali, diventando così appannaggio di pochi: di molti, ma non di tutti. Se invece, come nel nostro caso, l'artista pensa, propone e realizza un'opera che sia fruibile al pubblico a partire dall'idea stessa che ne è alla base, ecco allora che questa diviene un regalo per la comunità, per tutti e per davvero. Trasferitasi in centro città da qualche anno, stabilendo qui la propria residenza, l'artista ha recentemente ristrutturato gli spazi interni dell'immobile, su tre livelli che comprendono l'abitazione, lo studio e, al piano terra, una galleria d'arte non profit, un artist run space da lei stessa gestito, aperto ad ospitare residenze artistiche ed eventi espositivi. La facciata diventa così parte integrante di questa factory multifunzionale nella sua totalità, configurandosi al tempo stesso come opera d'arte autonoma già entrata a far parte di un museo molto particolare: si tratta del MAP, il Museo all'aperto della città di Faenza, un percorso d'arte contemporanea “urbana” che raccoglie decine di opere realizzate ed installate in città a partire dalla prima metà del '900 fino ad oggi.

When an artist succeeds in his intention to create a work, it’s a bit like giving a donation to the world. However, in an area where market dynamics remain dominant, it often happens that works of art go to enrich private or even museum collections, therefore becoming the privilege of a few: of many, but not of all. If on the other hand, as in our case, the artist thinks, proposes and realizes a work that is accessible to the public starting from the very idea behind it, then it becomes a gift for the community, for everyone and for real. Having moved to the city centre a few years ago, establishing her residence here, the artist has recently renovated the interior spaces of the building, on three levels including her home, her studio and, on the ground floor, a non-profit art gallery, an artist run space she runs herself, open to host art residencies and exhibition events. The facade thus becomes an integral part of this multifunctional factory in its totality and at the same time configuring as an autonomous work of art That has already become part of a very special museum: the MAP, Open Air Museum of the City of Faenza, an 'urban' contemporary art itinerary that brings together dozens of works created and installed in the city from the first half of the 20th century to the present day.
